Revolutionary wide-format flatbed printers
The Mimaki JFX-1631plus and JFX-1615plus are large format UV LED-curable flatbed printers with revolutionary features including: no warm-up time, less energy consumption, 8 print heads for faster printing, more substrate options, and white ink. See how they compare.
Mimaki's quality, technology, and innovation have been recognized by numerous awards. Most recently, Mimaki won five Product of the Year Awards at the 2010 SGIA Expo (USA), and two EDP (Europe) awards in 2009.
UV-LED light system speeds curing
The JFXplus Series uses UV LED technology to cure the ink which generates much less heat than conventional UV printers. This allows you to print on heat-sensitive media, like foam boards and styrene panels, that would typically be prone to bowing under heat.
UV LED-curing modules are positioned on both sides of the printheads. Because the post-curing unit cures the ink a second time, drying time is reduced, which speeds up production — up to 254 sq.ft./hr. in production mode. The overall result of the JFXplus UV LED-curing system — faster turnarounds, quick changes and short-run orders, plus higher productivity, efficiency and media flexibility.
Better solids, more legibile smaller fonts
The JFXplus Series' Intelligent Microstepping System (IMS) uses an 8-head positioning mechanism with high resolution linear motors for ultra-fine step accuracy and ink dot placement. The IMS delivers enhanced printing of solid colors, with no banding artifacts, and even allows output of legible 3 point size text.
Stunning 1200 dpi and 16-bit image quality
The combination of 7 variable dot sizes for accurate control, and a 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution, gives you smooth gradations, eliminates graininess, and produces highly detailed images, even in 4-color mode. The JFXplus Series uses a high-speed, USB 2 connection and comes with a RasterLink IP III software RIP. It supports 16-bit rendering which offers smooth gradations, and eliminates tone jumps for fine color reproduction.

Inks for hard or flexible substrates
The JFXplus Series offers 4-color hard and flexible ink options, plus white and clear ink.

can be used for flat surfaces, acrylic and aluminum compound boards, and styrene board etc. It’s scratch resistant and chemical resistant, with superior coloration. |
|
| LF-200 Flexible UV ink |
|
has 200% elasticity so it can be cut, creased, embossed, and scored after printing. Use it for flat and uneven surfaces, vehicle wraps, vinyl chloride film, packaging, banners or for full bleed display graphics that could challenge alternative UV machines. |

| White ink |
|
cartridges are available for vivid color on transparent or colored substrates. |
|
| Clear ink |
|
can be used as a gloss to brighten colors, or as a protective surface coating. |

A hybrid that prints on rigid and roll media
The JFXplus can print on rigid substrates up to 1.97” thick, allowing an array of creative possibilities. An optional roll unit boosts efficiency and productivity when printing on roll fed substrates by allowing the unattended printing of several or different jobs.
Prints life-like 3D images that don't need 3D glasses
The Mimaki JFX UV is the only inkjet printer qualified and capable to print SoliDDD 3D technology. Use it to print truly lifelike and affordable 3D images that don't need 3D glasses. Instead the lenticular 3D lens is within SoliDDD's replaceable Picture-frame for easy and perfect 3D visual alignment every time. This way prints can be made on inexpensive substrates, saving the cost of repeatedly applying lenticular lenses to each print. more...
Environmentally friendlier features
UV LED-cured printing uses less ink and is low VOC. LED technology requires no warm up time, so relatively instant printing can be achieved — switching on and off as required, which reduces energy consumption. This energy-efficiency significantly extends lamp lifetimes (up to 5,000 hours) compared to conventional UV lamps. Waste is reduced too — with Mimaki's Eco-cartridge system, you replace the ink pack inside of the cartridge casing, rather than the casing itself.
UV LED beats conventional UV printing
Doesn't require warm up
Lower surface temperatures
Consumes less energy
Handles more substrates
More eco-friendly
