Large size applications

The Grapo Manta is a full-featured, high quality and affordable flatbed UV printer designed to optimize your production process. With a maximum sheet size of 80 inches wide by 10 feet long, the Manta can be used for exhibition stand layouts, dividers, car wraps, sticker prints, floor prints, displays, and even textiles.

Print on just about anything

Use the Manta to print photographic quality on a wide variety of rigid and flexible materials including: foam board, cardboard, plastic, wood, metal, glass, billboard paper, vinyl, PVC banners, textiles, etc. It’s even been used to print on doors, leather jackets and mirrors.

High volume with 720 dpi precision quality

With a capacity to produce 430 sq.ft./hr in production mode, and 215 sq.ft./hr in hi-quality mode, the Manta delivers greater volumes at lower costs compared to most other UV printers. The Manta’s 720 dpi resolution translates into small, precisely controlled drop sizes and dot placement. This exactness offers excellent reproduction of skin tones or pastel-colored surfaces without color cuts or sharp transitions.

UV ink is more earth-friendly

The Manta uses UV-curable inks which, unlike solvent-based inks, emit no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the atmosphere. That’s healthier for your staff, and the planet. Plus, UV-curable inks offer optimal adhesion without the need for pre-coating. Printing with UV-curable inks also consumes less ink – that’s a significant advantage when printing on uncoated stocks. The Manta also has an option to add white ink.

Twin Mode boosts productivity

The unique Twin Mode system developed by Grapo Technologies cuts preparation time, maximizes available space, and increases operating efficiency. Twin Mode uses two independent virtual working areas with two independent starting points. This allows you to print on one half of the machine while simultaneously setting up the next print job in the other area of the table. This ability to switch between print desks when using rigid materials ensures jobs can flow without interruption, so no valuable production time is lost.

Pause Mode reduces waste

The Manta’s UV-curable inks provide the option to ‘pause’ printing midway through the job, in case of errors or problems and then restart at exactly the same spot where the job was paused. This reduces media waste and job costs.
