The Gemini hybrid flatbed UV printer provides outstanding throughput quality and reliable production output at an affordable price. The 10 Xaar Through-Flow Technology™ printheads provide high resolution printing at fast industrial speeds, and single-pass printing with grayscale quality and white ink capability.
Print on just about anything
Use the Gemini to print near photographic quality on a wide variety of rigid, flexible, and irregularly shaped materials including: foam board, cardboard, plastic, wood, metal, glass, billboard paper, vinyl, PVC banners, textiles, etc.
Wide 6’7” sheets and 968 ft2/hr production
With a maximum sheet width of 6’7”, use the GEMINI to print building wraps, billboards, backlit signage, point of sale materials, and indoor signage. Its capacity to produce 968 sq.ft./hr in production mode and 516 sq.ft/hr in high-quality mode delivers greater volumes at lower costs compared to most other UV printers.
10 Printheads with 8 drop sizes
The Gemini uses 10 Xaar Through-Flow Technology™ printheads for near photographic image quality and more efficient ink consumption. Each print head has 1,000 nozzles giving you precisely controlled dot placement at 8 variable drop sizes from 6 to 42 picoliters.
High 1080 dpi fidelity for grayscale and skin tones
The GEMINI’s ability to jet small droplets, in combination with its 1000 dpi resolution, results in high resolution, high fidelity prints with sharp images, grayscale, skin tones, smooth gradients and quartertones required for close-up indoor signage. Or vary ink droplet size for larger drop output to produce dense, uniform solids appropriate for outdoor signage.
Grayscale printing can either simulate additional colors, such as light magenta and light cyan, in a CMYK printing process, or additional specialized colors can be utilized if needed.
Affordable white ink capabilities
The Gemini’s variable drop capability especially enhances white ink printing so you can produce more interesting images with fine detail. Use white ink as the diffusion layer for backlit applications or as a spot color to highlight selected images for greater effect.
The white ink heads are specifically positioned to print CMYK, white and CMYK again (three layers) all in one pass. This is advantageous when printing on transparent substrates, such as acrylics, where images must be displayed on both sides. White ink speeds range from 161-322 sq.ft./hr.
UV ink is more earth-friendly
The Gemini uses UV-curable inks which, unlike solvent-based inks, emit no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the atmosphere. That’s healthier for your staff, and the planet. Plus, UV-curable inks offer optimal adhesion without the need for pre-coating. Printing with UV-curable inks also consumes less ink – that’s a significant advantage when printing on uncoated stocks.
